Apparently a bunch of Playwrights Horizons’ season ticket holders freaked out over the length of Annie Baker’s play “The Flick.” The theater’s artistic director saw fit to issue an apology and has since caught hell from all manner of culture critics, see here and here.
We may have overstated our earlier directive that when Annie Baker’s writing and Sam Gold’s directing you don’t ask questions, you just attend. Perhaps you should ask how long the play will be and prep accordingly.
