Prototype Festival 2014
Prototype is an annual festival of opera-theater and music-theater works in New York City. It is curated by Kristin Marting and Kim Whitener of HERE Art Center and Beth Morrison of Beth Morrison Projects. It launched in January 2013 and is one of the newer festivals on New York’s busy January festival calendar.
This year Prototype features seven productions over the course of 12 days. The shows range from completed pieces to works-in-progress. Audience members are welcome to join Prototype Conversations, post-show panel discussions featuring creative teams and leaders from the field of opera and musical theater.
