FESTIVAL FINALE

Festival Finale, New York City Theater January 2016

After two weeks of heavy theater going we reflect on the brilliance and the busts of this year’s January theater festival season. We revisit all nine of the shows we highlighted two weeks ago in our preview episode (2:20) and four additional shows we saw together (Yesterday Tomorrow, 25:10, Now I’m Fine, 32:20, Confirmation, 38:30, and Escuela, 44:15). Discussion of these shows led to a conversation about revolution and social change and inevitably we end up at Hamilton.

Things we’re looking forward to seeing soon (1:06:10): Astronomy Club Presents: A Journey Through Black History, Utility, In QuietnessSafeword, and Toshi Reagon’s 32nd Annual Birthday Concerts at Joe’s Pub.

Check out the Secret Theater’s fundraising campaign and do some good by sending a few dollars their way, for more information read Sean William’s post “We Can’t Lose Another One” and the campaign’s Indiegogo page.
