April Musicals Abound
With the Tony deadline fast approaching, Broadway is chockablock with new shows opening including a ton of musicals. We dedicate a full episode to some of the musicals we’ve seen lately. There are screen-to-stage adaptations, book-to-stage adaptations, and just plain old-fashioned new-new musicals. There are revivals to mention as well.
And I can’t help myself but talk about Hedwig and the Angry Inch again as the revival Yitzhak Lena Hall steps down and Rebecca Naomi Jones steps in.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (2:40)
Dave’s interview with Michael Arden
Something Rotten (6:20)
Fun Home (24:10) (I did realize after recording 1 song has been cut from the downtown show)
On the Twentieth Century (37:35)
On the Town (46:41)
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (48:56)
