Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love – Location, Tickets, Reviews
Mallery Avidon’s Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love at The Flea Theater tells the story of Grace, a 27-year-old woman who, despite the appearance of a happy life, is stuck in an unfulfilling job and a loveless marriage to Tyler, an unemployed pothead who spends his days playing video games.
Cue the famous and fabulous Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, who push Grace to escape her stagnant life by offering loads of senseless fun, blunt advice, and unexpected romance.
In addition, the play is peppered with confessions from a group of high school students referred to as “The Amazing Girls,” who share their hopes and dreams for the future. When The Amazing Girls’ idealism is juxtaposed with Grace’s harsh experiences as an adult, it accentuates the disillusionment suffered by many as we grow older. This satirical production explores the challenge of discovering one’s true self and ponders the true meaning of success, love, and desire.
Recommended for people currently suffering existential crises, fans of the Olsen twins, and anyone who enjoys a solid pop culture satire.

[Avidon’s] razor-sharp words fly at you with a feverish pace thanks to the economical and energetic direction of Kristan Seemel. This barrage of millennial insecurities can be quite overwhelming, increasing in intensity with each passing scene.
Time Out New York
These women know how they’re going to start; but Avidon, of all of them, needs to figure out an ending.
Theatre Is Easy
