Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 – Location, Reviews, Tickets
Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is an electro-pop opera based on Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. After a brief but very popular and sold out run at Ars Nova in 2012, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 launched a commercial run in May 2013 at Kazino, a custom-built Russian supper club in the Meatpacking District. As expected, it opened to high praise, receiving four stars on a four star scale from the New York Post and five stars on a five star scale from TimeOut New York.
Then it transferred to a spot in Midtown and kept the name Kazino for the performance space. Shows began in Midtown on September 24, 2013. At the original performances tickets to Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, included dinner, with the transfer to Midtown the full dinner ended but they still serve drinks and small plates.

Dave Malloy’s Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 was the best thing I saw in a theater last year, when it played at Ars Nova; now it has reopened at Kazino, a sumptuous pop-up venue in the Meatpacking District that—in accordance with the musical’s immersive approach—doubles as a Russian supper club.
