Maxamoo Interview: Lila Rose Kaplan
In our Maxamoo Interview with playwright Lila Rose Kaplan, we discuss her play Bureau of Missing Persons now showing at 4th Street Theater and she shares a few of the experiences that led her to playwriting.
Maxamoo attended Bureau of Missing Persons over the weekend. It is a delicate, whimsical story dotted with tragedy and humor. It tackles the sensitive subject of missing persons with grace and well-timed, tension-relieving, wit.
The story follows Angela, a perky but distraught grade school teacher, on a journey with fellow teacher Simon, who is suffering a similar loss. Inventive staging and props cast a beautiful tableau and aid the imagination in following these characters to a faraway location.
The play is 90 minutes with no intermission.
