ABOUT
In its 17th year the New York International Fringe Festival, or FringeNYC, is the largest multi-arts festival in North America hosting more than 75,000 patrons annually in more than 20 venues (in and around the Lower East Side and East Village of New York City).
Every year the Festival grants new opportunities to try something new — the productions are often edgy, experimental, confrontational, and unapologetic. There are comedies and dramas, plays and musicals, solo shows and dance shows, light entertainment and socially-conscious tragedies. If you are lost in the endless options, you can check out our special coverage and find your way!
Tickets prices are $15 in advance and $18 at the door, but free events are also available in abundance. There’s also a kids program, FringeJR, with programing targeting ages 5 to 12. Tickets for kids under 12 to FringeJR are $10.
More information can be found on the Festival’s official website, or at FringeCENTRAL, where you can meet artists, get details on shows, and purchase advance tickets in person. This year’s FringeCENTRAL is located at 27 Second Avenue.
The Festival takes place between Friday, August 9 and Sunday, August 25.
