The Cradle Will Rock
As part of New York City Center’s ENCORES! Off-Center performance series, The Cradle Will Rock will run for five performances in July.
A revival from 1937, The Cradle Will Rock tells the story of a 1930s steel strike, in which workers battle greedy businessmen and a brutal police force.
The cast is chock-full of theater superstars, to name a few: Danny Burstein (Golden Boy, Follies), Raúl Esparza (Leap of Faith), Peter Friedman (The Great God Pan, Circle Mirror Transformation), and Anika Noni Rose (Caroline, or Change). Sam Gold will direct.
