Early Buzz: Kung Fu

Kung Fu - World Premiere Production

Early Buzz: Kung Fu

UPDATE, February 24, 2014

Kung Fu hasn’t officially opened yet but it’s already added more dates to its performance schedule. Tickets during the extension are $75.

Original post, January 7, 2014

Celebrated playwright David Henry Hwang brings the tale of one of the greatest international icons of all time, Bruce Lee, to the stage.

The production melds dance, martial arts, and Chinese opera into a unique concoction flavored with drama. It follows Lee from his humble beginnings as a troubled youth in Hong Kong, to a karate-chopping mega star in the United States. It deconstructs the legend’s personal trials and tribulations, as he struggled to prove himself as a husband, father, and fighter.

As always at Signature Theater, the tickets during the initial run are only $25! That’s a steal for a show with this level of talent, quality of production, and (we will gratuitously add) a leading man that attractive.
