Early Buzz: The Bridges Of Madison County
Better known as a successful 1995 film with Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood and originally a best-selling novel, The Bridges of Madison County is premiering on the New York stage this winter in a musical adaptation.
It’s the maudlin story of a love affair between a lonely married woman and a charming photographer in Madison County, Iowa. The couple, Francesca and Robert, are played by Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale, the music is by Jason Robert Brown, and Bartlett Sher directs.
