An Infinite Ache – Location, Tickets, Reviews
David Schulner’s romantic dramedy An Infinite Ache has been kicking around theaters in the U.S. for more than a decade but it has never been performed in New York City, until now.
An Infinite Ache is a play about the complexities of modern love. It follows an improbable couple (he’s a timid, Jewish boy and wannabe-historian; she’s a feisty, Chinese-Filipino girl looking to become an actress) as they navigate through the ebbs and flows of their unique–yet very relatable–romance.
In its New York City premiere, Schulner’s intimate, heartfelt work features a talented pair of actors–Eric Kuehnemann and Nancy Sun (Sun is also the Executive Producer and driving the force behind this New York production, see her and director Joshua Warr in this enthusiastic video for the production’s successful Kickstarter campaign). Kuehnemann and Sun provide a poignant account of a relationship plagued with cultural and emotional disconnect. The production spans an entire lifetime of joy, tragedy, and heartache using only simple transitions and basic props.
An Infinite Ache is a great play for date nights, casual evenings out with friends or out-of-town guests, and pragmatic romantics.
