Professor von Awesome’s Ghost Hunting Safari – Location, Tickets, Reviews
The Serious Theatre Collective, winner of a 2012 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award for Best Ensemble, brings a new show Professor von Awesome’s Ghost Hunting Safari to the stage with burlesque, puppetry, songs, and a live band.
The plot, really just a vehicle for a series of talented entertainers to demonstrate their artistry, takes Professor von Awesome on an adventure after he steals the “Book of the Dead” from Death itself in order to bring his beloved back to life. Professor von Awesome encounters ghosts (ingeniously staged using everything from shadow puppets to an X-ray machine) and other obstacles in the form of catchy musical numbers, a hilarious striptease, and a dance contest. Described by NYTheater Now as “an energetic fun-fest” and “pure entertainment”, Professor von Awesome’s Ghost Hunting Safari offers a fun evening of Halloween camp.
