It is the story of a boy who accidentally awakens a murdered girl from the dead and then joins forces with her to save the world.

Nightmare: Killers 2
Nightmare: Killers 2 is one of the oldest and most terrifying haunted houses in New York and it qualifies as theater because the New York Times says it is. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s Nightmare is an elaborate and theatrical homage to notorious serial killers.

Sarah Flood in Salem Mass
Written by the Obie Award winning playwright, Adriano Shaplin, Sarah Flood in Salem Mass is having its world premiere at the Flea Theater. While it’s not specifically about Halloween, it does include witches or at least rumors thereof. Sarah Flood travels back to 17th century Salem on a mission to change history, stop the witch trials, and save the women persecuted.

Professor Von Awesome’s Ghost Hunting Safari
The year’s annual, seasonal special from Serious Theatre Collective is Professor Von Awesome’s Ghost Hunting Safari, a variety show described by NYTheater Now as “an energetic fun-fest” and “pure entertainment.” It includes burlesque, puppetry, songs, and dance and is a great alternative to the usual Halloween frights.
