20th Annual Playwrights’ Week
During the Lark Play Development Center’s Playwrights’ Week writers participate in an intensive seven-day retreat, during which each play receives ten hours of rehearsal in advance of a public staged reading. The works to be presented this year are:

WorkShop Theater Company
The WorkShop Theater Company continues their reading series in the Fall of 2013 with three new shows. Unlike most reading series that perform each play only once, this series performs each play three times, once on three consecutive evenings.

Festival of Irish Theater: Reading
Origin Theatre Company, a not-for-profit company that presents U.S. premiers of emerging European playwrights, is hosting its 6th annual Festival of Irish Theater. The festival hosts many events, including full scale productions, concerts, screenings, and two readings, one of a stage play and another of a screenplay.

The Amas Musical Theatre Lab

Amas Musical Theatre is devoted to the creation, development, and production of new American musicals, the celebration of diversity and minority perspectives, and the training and encouragement of inner-city young people. They have two lab performances of new musicals coming up this September.
