FringeNYC: The Great III AM – Location, Tickets, Reviews
Matt Graham is an international Scrabble champion. His love of the game inspired his new solo show The Great iii Am, in which the morose Graham teaches the audience a few Scrabble tricks and by extension a few lessons about life and God.
Graham improvises a lot in this production, so often that he gets lost exploring unrelated tangents and loses the thread of the original story. He has two adorable female assistants, whose part in the production is not quite clear. There are some genuinely funny and moving moments, but as noted by NYTheatre, “I felt like I was on a bad first date without an exit strategy.”

There was a bit too much scramble to make this Scrabble a win.
