Dizzy Miss Lizzie’s Roadside Revue presents: The Brontes
Proof that a show doesn’t need a huge budget, a grandiose set, or a gaggle of backup dancers to be great, The Brontes, the latest endeavor from Washington, DC troupe Dizzy Miss Lizzie’s Roadside Revue, is a whole lot of fun and very well done.
Financing this project and its arrival at the New York Musical Theater Festival via Kickstarter, Dizzy’s founders and writers, Debra Buonaccorsi and Steve McWilliams created a rock-n-roll adaptation of the life story and novels of this famous 19th Century literary family. Supported by an excellent cast, The Brontes, which had a successful run at the DC Fringe Festival last year, is original, funny, and, at points, even touching.
