Early Buzz: Sea Marks
The Irish Repertory Theatre mounts Gardner McKay’s award winning play Sea Marks as the last production of its 2013-2014 season. Ciarán O’Reilly directs this revival, which stars Tony Award nominee Xanethe Elbrick and Obie Award winner Patrick Fitzgerald.
A simple fisherman, living on a remote island in Ireland, conducts a romantic exchange of letters with a woman who works at a publishing house in Liverpool, England. His letters are passionate and poetic, but their radically different natures threatens mutual heartache.
