59E59 Theaters
The Drama Desk Award winning 59E59 Theaters (conveniently named after its location) is an upscale complex of three theaters and a bar that serves drinks and snacks, located near the southeast corner of Central Park in New York City. It was built by the nonprofit organization The Elysabeth Kleinhans Theatrical Foundation and opened in 2004. By offering high quality, diverse productions, both domestic and international, 59E59 has become a prominent location for new theater in New York City.
Primary Stages is the resident theater company at 59E59 Theaters.
59E59 annually hosts Brits Off Broadway, a festival of new British theater, and East to Edinburgh, a festival of U.S. theater traveling to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (the largest arts festival in the world).
